Strengthening a Brand Alliance
The Zigbee Alliance is the foundation and future of the Internet of Things. Established in 2002, ZigBee’s wide-ranging global membership collaborates to create and evolve universal open standards for the products transforming the way we live, work, and play. With members’ deep and diverse expertise, robust certification programs, and a full suite of open IoT solutions, ZigBee is leading the movement toward a more intuitive, imaginative and useful world.
The mission of the ZigBee Alliance is to ignite creativity and collaboration in the Internet of Things, by creating, evolving, and promoting universal open stands that enable all objects to securely connect and interact. With high adoption and entry to many well-known and well-received ecosystems, Zigbee is proven in the Smart Home market.
The ZigBee Alliance is an association of hundreds of companies working together to enable an open global standard in use across millions of connected devices. The complexity of the wide range of ZigBee solutions creates challenges in clearly communicating the capabilities and applications offered by the ZigBee Alliance. As a result, the ZigBee Alliance selected K2 Brand to review its current brand architecture (logos and icons) and to develop a brand strategy framework to support the long-term goals for the organization and the brand.`
“Internet of Things.”
Working with a large team of alliance members, K2 Brand provided a brand architecture solution to represent the current organization while supporting the goal to increase awareness in the consumer market. This work was supported by defining the visual relationship of the brand portfolio – when, why and how the logos and icons are used – to achieve greater clarity and build understanding among all key audiences.
The final step was a plan to prioritize the use of the ZigBee brand by identifying the process, activities and resources required to share and promote the brand architecture strategy with alliance members and other key audiences.
